DocFill Brief

How to use DocFill

  1. Upload a DOCX or PDF Template.
  2. DocFill detects {{Placeholders}}.
  3. Enter values for the detected Placeholders.
  4. Optional: load a Profile.
  5. Optional: save the current values with Add Profile.
  6. Check the Preview.
  7. Fill the document.
  8. Download the Filled document.

Batch: Batch lets you fill several Templates using shared values while keeping separate results for each Template.

Placeholder Manual

{{name}} inserts the value named “name”.

Template: Hello {{director_name}} Value: director_name = Anthonny Result: Hello Anthonny

Formatting: Use {{b_name}}, {{t_name}}, or {{bt_name}}.

  • b_ = bold — {{b_company_name}} inserts company_name in bold.
  • t_ = uppercase — {{t_company_name}} inserts company_name in uppercase.
  • bt_ = bold + uppercase — {{bt_company_name}} inserts company_name in bold uppercase.

Indexed Placeholders: Use numbered Placeholders when the same type of information can repeat, such as director_1_name and director_2_name. The number identifies each repeated entry.

Rule: Placeholder names must match the names detected by DocFill.
